Brittney Phanivong - Peer Study Abroad Advisor

Student, Brittney Phanivong posing with telephone booth in London, England in front of Big BenHello! My name is Brittney and I am a senior pursuing a major in Science, Technology, and Society. I studied abroad in London, England during Spring Quarter 2017 on a UW Faculty-Led Program, "English in London". By fully immersing myself in a new environment with new cultures and people, it made me realize that studying abroad is more than earning school credits. It was an experience that helped me discover new things about myself and learn what it is like to live in a foreign country. I want to be able to help students find the best option for their next trip abroad and create their own life-long memories that they will cherish forever. Yenifher Mendoza - Peer Study Abroad Advisor

Hello, My name is Yenifher Mendoza and I’m a first generation student. I’m currently a junior majoring in Society, Ethics & Human Behavior (SEB). I will be studying abroad this coming summer in Rome, Italy. As a first generation, I have made it my goal to have the opportunity to study abroad. I decided to apply and got accepted to the Interdisciplinary Studio Art and Italian Culture program offered here at UWB. I am excited to be working with Global Initiatives as a peer advisor. I want to help students who want to make the most out of their college experience, especially those who are interested in studying in another country. I will be here as a resource, so if you have any questions regarding study abroad, I will be more than happy to help you out.
