First Year Entry RN to BSN

A UW Bothell and Everett Community College Nursing Partnership

The First Year RN to BSN degree program is an innovative dual-enrollment program between the UW Bothell School of Nursing and Health Studies and the nursing program at Everett Community College (EvCC), both long-standing regional programs.

The program is designed specifically for first year applicants to complete their nursing prerequisites at UW Bothell, and then study off-site for two years at our community college partner.  This allows UWB students to benefit from the experienced clinical and didactic faculty at Everett CC, while still completing a BSN in a timely way.

Students admitted to the program are conditionally admitted to the EvCC Nursing Program and to the RN to BSN program at UW Bothell. This allows students to begin their nursing education as first years at UW Bothell, with no re-application to the EvCC nursing program and no re-application to the RN to BSN completion program.

Upon completion of the program students graduate as licensed registered nurses (RNs), with an associate degree in nursing (ADN) from Everett Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from UW Bothell.

Please Note:

Applicants who have completed and received credit for college coursework while in high school need to review the admissions information on College Credit.

Applicants who have taken college coursework post high school are considered transfer students (not first year students) and should consider the RN to BSN program.
